Terms of Service

1. Definitions & acceptance

In these Terms, "Echo", "we", "us" and "our" mean Optivio Software Ltd, a company incorporated in England and Wales, trading as Echo.

By creating an account or using Echo you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. The service

Echo provides browser-based audio recording, file upload, AI transcription, summarisation, and follow-up generation. Features and limits may change over time.

3. Your account

You must be at least 16 years old. You are responsible for your credentials, all activity on your account, and keeping your contact information up to date.

4. Acceptable use

See our Acceptable Use Policy. In short: do not record people without legally required consent, do not upload illegal content, and do not abuse, reverse engineer, or attempt to disrupt the service.

5. Your content

You retain all rights to recordings, uploads, and transcripts ("Content"). You grant Echo a limited licence to process Content solely to provide the service. We do not use your Content to train AI models.

6. Recording consent

You are solely responsible for compliance with all applicable recording and privacy laws, including obtaining consent from every participant in a conversation where required. Echo is not liable for unlawful recordings.

7. Plans, billing, refunds

Paid plans renew monthly. You can cancel any time and retain access until the end of the paid period. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change pricing with 30 days' notice.

8. AI accuracy

Transcripts and summaries are generated automatically and may contain errors. Do not rely on them for legal, medical, or other critical decisions without human review.

9. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy, or where required by law. You may close your account at any time from settings.

10. Warranties & liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Echo against claims arising from your Content or your breach of these Terms, including unauthorised recordings.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of London, UK.
